Hi there! My name is Amanda Paolercio, and I am so glad you found me. I am “mommy” to two incredible children, Charlotte and Michael, and wife to our family hero and professional firefighter Chris. I am a lover of dogs and Disney World, and I have a passion for people.

 

I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York. I am accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and am licensed and certified to practice in the state of New York. In 2011, I began my career working with children and young adults with varying speech, language, and behavioral diagnoses on a functioning farm in a partial-residential school setting. It affirmed my love of the “unconventional” and fueled my enthusiasm to build communication skills in a functional and meaningful way. 

 

My over 10 years of practice have focused on treating people of all ages within the areas of receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonology, pragmatics, voice therapy, AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication), and speech sound disorders. I have worked at the college level supervising graduate speech-language pathology students, in the schools, and specialty adult settings.

 

No matter where the world of speech-language pathology has brought me, my philosophy has always been to make communication as fluid, personal, and functional as possible for each and every person I treat and the team I became a part of.
